NAME: Lea A. Taylor
AGE: 11 years old
HOMETOWN: Cocoa Beach, FL.
SPONSORS: Sk8Grl, Steez Energy, Timeline Skateboards, 187 Pads, Grind for Life Team Rider (helping Cancer Patients)
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SKATING? I have been
skateboarding since I was really little so about 7 years
I guess..
FAVORITE THINGS TO SKATE? Loves to skate vert and
bowls, rides fast, and has fun. However, I will always skate
anything its all fun.
HOME SKATEPARK: My home park is Cocoa beach Florida, However since
moving to California 3 years ago I skate at Clairemont and
Encinitas YMCA.
HOW AND WHY DID YOU GET INTO SKATING? I started
skateboarding because of my brothers Adam and Dylan, I had to
hang out at all their events and all the skate parks all over
Florida. Our house in Cocoa Beach was like a skatepark growing
up, all the neighbors were there all the time skateboarding
until my family helped to get the Cocoa Beach skate park
built. I think all the kids were getting too big and
outgrowing our little hoe skate stuff.
WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED? Skateboarding is great
for getting wiggles out because I really like to move.
Skateboarding has given me a lot of fun especially being on TV
and games. I was also a Skateboard Instructor for the All Girl
Skate Jam and Encinitas YMCA.
WHO DO YOU SKATE WITH/LIKE TO SKATE WITH? I like to
skate with all kinds of people. I think my favorite is
the old school bowl riders at Encinitas. I can always
count on Ron to skate with and he is nice to me and I like his
music. I also like to skate at Clairemont with my brothers and
their friends like Zack Miller and Alex Perilson and of course
it would not be complete without harrassment from Danny Maire.
I love all of those guys. I really like it when the older
girls show up and give me tips.
ANY GOALS YOU HAVE IN SKATING? I hope to become a pro skateboarder one day so I can
help raise money for cures for diseases so I can help people
like my mom and my friend Mike Rogers.
WHAT KIND OF COVERAGE HAVE YOU GOTTON? Making the Movie
"Last Day of Summer" with my brothers which comes out July
20th, 2007 on Nickelodeon. My brothers were stunt doubles and
I got to skateboard in the background and it was fun. I have
been on the MTV Made show, and numerous Nick Game
shows.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOUR NOT SKATING?
Snowboard, Surf, and Gymnastics. I also like to draw pictures,
and swim.
PEOPLE YOU WOULD LIKE TO THANK: Thank you to anybody who has given me tips and been my
friend.
